I believe that our early relationships shape who we are today. By looking at past relationships and events, we can begin to make sense of what is happening in the present. This is not about searching for someone or something to blame. Sometimes we get stuck in patterns of relating based on these experiences but I hope that in our therapeutic relationship, you can find a way to move forward.
Changes in relationships, within our professional lives, health issues, shifting life roles or the loss of loved ones are just some of the changes we may all face at some point. We may wish to make changes but feel unable to do so. We might have these changes made for us and feel totally out of control as a result. We may welcome the changes but feel unsure how to adapt or we might be grieving for a past that we can no longer have but feel unable to move forward into the future.
We all deal with change differently. It can be challenging and painful or exciting but complicated. Whatever it is you are experiencing and however you may be feeling, it can often be helpful to talk things through with a professional therapist. I offer a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your issues in confidence with a fully qualified non-judgemental, professional counsellor.
I offer a full initial session at 50% of my standard fee and usually conduct this session on Zoom. This will give us the chance to begin to get to know one another and talk about what has brought you here. The session will also give you a flavour of me as a therapist, to see whether counselling feels like the right thing for you and whether I feel like the right person to help at this time.
To contact me, please complete the form below and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. Insured and an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I am trained to work in a variety of ways on either a short or long term basis. We will talk about how best to meet your needs in our first session and review this regularly to make sure you are getting the most from our time together. Essentially, I believe that counselling is about making changes and that we all have the potential to achieve it.
Choosing the right therapist is an important decision.
My hope is that we can build a therapeutic relationship that is unique to us but empowers you to make the changes you want.
I practice in the heart of Ewell Village in Surrey with easy access by car, train or bus. Please contact me for details.
